Do you have a song which inspires you? I have one which I
heard many times while I was working full-time in a factory. The song is quite famous and I
suppose it is really for dancers, but I always feel when my writing is going
well, my fingers are dancing to the ebbs and flows of the words.
So this is song: What a Feeling, saids it all for me.
First, when there's nothing but a slow glowing dream
That your fear seems to hide deep inside your mind
All alone I have cried silent tears full of pride
In a world made of steel, made of stone
Take your passion, and make it happen
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life
What a feeling (I can really have it all)
What a feeling (Pictures come alive when I call)
I can have it all (I can really have it all)
Have it all (Pictures come alive when I call)
(call, call, call, call, what a feeling) I can have it all
(Bein's believin') bein's believin'
Keep believing and you too could have all you dream of!
If you are feeling inspire then here is news of a future writing competition run by A.Vogel Dormeasan 'Write a Short Story for Bedtime' competition 2012.

Thanks for the link, Jarmara. I had a go last year with no luck. I might give it another try.
I've not really been able to take that song seriously since I saw Robert Webb perform it for Comic Relief a couple of years ago...
On the other hand I was driving into work earlier this week and Chris Evans played John Farnham's You're the Voice.
Now THAT does it for me! I'm glad nobody could hear me singing along.
That's a great song. The choreography is fabulous but there were parts where I had to smile.
Hi Keith the winners for last year haven't been selected yet so you make be in with a chance yet.
Hello AJ Yes it really funny watch a guy with such great legs dancing:-) For me it's the words to the song which makes me sing along. Wow, You're the Voice is a great song!
Hi Deborah It seems very dated, and yes there are parts that makes you smile.
I love that song. I used to use it when I taught aerobic and eon ago.
