Out for a Walk.

Blackbelly Sheep
At last my dear friend Ana and I were able to go out for a walk as the morning was fresh and bright without a rain cloud in sight.

We took the route pass the village school and up into the woods. Our journey took us pass a small holding and to our surprise we found they had some new animals, Blackbelly Sheep.

Wheat Field.

The footpath from the small holding takes us over a small stream and between two cornfields before we reach the woods.

In the field, the wheat is turning to golden and looks as though it will soon be ready to harvest.

The path was edged beautiful in shades of purple, light blue and yellow as summer wild flowers showed off mother nature's finery.

The blue of Field Scabious and purple of hardhead or black knapweed.

All in all it was a beautiful walk this morning and I hope to have a few more before the end of the year.

Now I must get back to my writing.

    1. That's what the sign said, Frances. I thought they were goats at first until I read the sign.
