I sat nervously by while Debz read the prologue and first chapter after she’d finished reading them she said she felt like a school teacher as I looked so worry. J
I said that it’s okay when you show your work to family and friends because they can only tell you what they like about your work, but when it comes to someone professional, they know what is wrong with it.
I’m pleased to report that Debz was pleased to see I had followed her advice. She said that my first chapter showed the same flow that was present in my short stories, that I’d stopped head-hopping, and that my characters had found a voice.
Now I must keep doing the same through the rest of the novel.
Soon I’m off to spend a week in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Best Wishes to you all,
